I’m an entrepreneur focused on helping all people in our community reach their full potential.
I’m running for Metro Council because I believe…
THIS IS THE RIGHT MOMENT
With a new mayor, 10 new Metro Council people, a new generation, of businesses, nonprofit leaders, and a city in turmoil, the time for meaningful change is now.
TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER
Community members, non-profits, businesses, government, neighborhood associations, unions, academia, and students all need a seat at the table.
FOCUSED ON THE POSSIBLE.
Let’s focus on solutions, not ideology. Here are some examples: Deflect non-violent 911 calls to community health workers; use social impact bonds to pay for treatment, not jail; restrict the short-term rentals that are making neighborhoods unlivable; create transparency for better government effectiveness; invest in parks, libraries, community centers, and schools; invest upstream before there are problems; plant trees now; deploy police where we need them, not where we don't.

WHY ME?
I am a non-profit, small-business, tech-startup, corporate, government, and academia guy, who thinks problems should be solved by involving the people closest to them. I believe that government should be a platform for convening, listening, and creating. I believe in civic (and civil) dialogue between people who disagree. And I think we will disagree less when we focus on effectiveness rather than ideology.
WHY YOU?
To retain my seat on Metro Council, I’ve got to win 3 elections in 18 months. My predecessor spent $100K on 1 election. Her predecessor knocked on 8,000 doors in 4 months. I’ll need to do both.
